Have you ever thought about your smile?
How often you smile and what it does to how you feel and experience yourself? What the impact of your smile is on other people?
I learned to smile through my spiritual cat Knor. A cat has of course many qualities that we all would like to have. Like being centered, flexible, focused, relaxed and many more things. A cat can be eccentric and playful, wise and dreamy, outgoing and impertinent, nosy and charming, without anybody taking offence, since it is their nature, right?
Knor would be all those things and the whole basket of cat-tricks that she carries. And she would make me smile ...
And one day I noticed, that I was not just smiling with my mouth, but that my smile came from a different place: right from the center of my heart!
My smile was not just a smile any more, but the radiance from the core of my being, shining with a joy that was just irresistible.
Now what did Knor do to have such a profound impact?
I will tell you what I think happened. Knor, by nature, is being her furry purry self and does not doubt or question that, but unconditionally loves herself. She just is the love itself and when she smiles, her entire being is beaming.
When Knor smiles at you, she does not think of whether your hair looks good or whether you are wearing baggy trousers, nothing like that.
She just looks at you form a place of love, and true recognition and acceptance of your entire being. She looks at you encouragingly, inspiring you to be the most you can be, inspiring you to bring out the best of who you are.
And after a while you just find yourself smiling back at her.
I believe everyone has an "inner knor", an inner light-being, doing exactly what my cat Knor does. Go talk with her, find her and feel yourself warming up to her radiant smile. Then don't forget to pamper your inner knor! ☺
with love,
