| What especially struck me was this one sentence where Eric describes how his meridians got "plugged in" into the earth grid.
I thought: "That's it! That's what I want!"
Although I felt pretty much grounded, I was longing for a deeper connection to our earth.
I read the book in the summer of 2007 and when I heard that Eric was coming to the Netherlands in the fall, I decided to go and meet him. Although it is said that you can "get the frequencies" just by reading the book, I did not experience anything special. I thought maybe if I ask universe to plug me in, something will happen ...
but no ...
So in September 2007 I met Eric, we talked, hugged, kissed ...
... nothing!
I did not give up that easily and decided to receive a distant healing session in December. Again no experience whatsoever. A second one: same thing,
I could not feel anything and nothing seemed to happen. Mind you: all the time it was the story that kept me going:
I wanted to get "plugged in"!
Then in March 2008 I suddenly saw that there would be a Reconnective Healing® workshop in San Francisco. I decided to check it out, since it was just a few blocks from where I was living.
And while I was at it, I thought it would then also make sense to get the Reconnection® myself.
My first session was two days before the workshop started, and does it surprise you that again: I did not notice anything special?
It was not until the next day, during my second session (The Reconnection® is done in two sessions on two consecutive days) that I had my break-through.
During the session I suddenly could not find my left foot anymore! This was so weird, I tried what I could and I just did not know where or in what position it was! All proprioceptive perception was gone! This lasted for just a short while and is probably related to rewiring of the system. I also had some strange visual experiences that I had never had before (and mind you, I have had experience with different healing methods for over thirty years!)
After my Reconnection® I had to completely reorient myself, I felt so different!
Then the next day the workshop started and I strongly had the feeling that I needed to take level 3 (which would be given immediately after level 1 and 2) as well. That would enable me to do the Reconnection® for others as well. Somewhere I had decided that this was what I was going to do!
I have always felt myself to be a healer, but experienced myself as the classic wounded healer: always ill myself ...
Now with the Reconnection® this is not important any more, thus taking away a major roadblock on my path. In Reconnection® the universe works directly with the client, so if you come to me for a session, it does not matter really who I am or how I feel on that particular day, since the energy goes directly to you and not through me, as in most other healing methods.
Not to mention that some people indeed get released from physical illnesses. It has not happened for me yet, but although the symptoms are still there, they do not bother me as much as before.
The Reconnection® puts you back into your own power in just one go. I felt much more grounded and focused, I suddenly knew which steps to take and could move forward easily. The day after the workshops I started taking classes in public speaking as I felt this would be what I needed to do at some point. Although I just took two classes, it greatly helped me to be more "present".
I bought a massage table and started practicing on friends and people I met, so I have done quite a few Reconnections® already in a short time frame (we are talking May 2008 here). I can already say that a common thing that most people experience after their Reconnection® is that they feel much more grounded and focused, seem to be getting "more done". (also see Reconnection)
The good thing about the Reconnection® is that the process deepens and unfolds by itself. It is a "once a lifetime" thing.
Update September 2009:
I have now worked for over a year with the Reconnection® and am still impressed with the magic of it all. Like Eric describes in his book, that the sessions "already start" before he even enters the room, is something I am also seeing.
I also find in my own life that there is more "magic": attracting people or situations that seem to go beyond mere "coincidence". The process is fascinating!
